8/13/06: Complete and unused "add-a-harness kit" for a Leclerc Artistat loom. All the pieces are in the kit, the original installation instructions are intact. This kit is for an earlier model of Artistat and for a 36" width. It is unassembled and easily crated for shipping. It can be sent by USPS or UPS, I've estimated shipping cost to be approx $50 depending on destination. 7/27/06: Newcomb Rug Loom for production weaving. 4-H, 6-T, very sturdy. Exceptionally good tension devise. Has sectional warping beam that holds very long warps up to 100 yds. Comes with a spool rack stand that holds up to 48 tubes, a bench and a 10 EPI stainless steel reed. All for $ 1,200.00 firm. Email Rita

7/26/06: 16 HARNESS AVL LOOM FOR SALE: 48" mechanical dobby loom with standard bottom beater, 16-H, and built-in bench. It is equipped with an optional two-box fly shuttle and two fly shuttles. It comes with a 10 and 12 dent stainless steel reeds and four beams: two plain beams, a one yard sectional beam and a new 1/2 yard sectional beam. There are is a full length raddle and lease sticks, and two warp flanges. It has a mounting track and a tension box for sectional beaming. It has plenty of texsolv heddles on all 16-H that are brand new. It also has a cloth storage system and apron. A manual is included. I just took my last long warp off the loom this week.... so it is in good working condition. I have plenty of pictures of the loom to share which will help a lot during assembly. If within a reasonable distance of PIttsburgh PA, I can deliver and offer assistance in setting up the loom. I have had many looms, but weaving on an AVL is the best! The sand paper beam is wonderful and the cloth storage is great! The warp beam flanges can be used to wind on the plain beams without using sticks or paper. The dobby is very easy to set up and change patterns. The heddles are conveniently marked for easy counting when threading. (Buyer pays for shipping if necessary.) A good deal at $3400. 724-348-9087. 7/26/06: F.J Ahrens 8-H, 8-T (expandable to 10), 42” floor loom; plus, two reeds. I suppose it would be considered a jack loom. It’s a great loom that folds down to store in small areas. I love the loom but do not have time to work on it. I’m hoping to sell it to someone who will use it. I’m in Southern California (Long Beach). The loom is heavy so if someone wants it shipped they will have to pay the shipping; otherwise, the buyer may come and pick it up. Asking $700 (US). Email Crystal
7/20/06: Southeast Michigan: Gorgeous 54" Fireside jack loom with 8-H and 12-T. This loom is made from solid oak with beautiful grain. Superbly designed loom that is a real pleasure to weave on. It comes with a matching 42" commuter bench. Both are in very good condition. Sells for $5,745 new. I am asking $3,800. Email Susan

7/13/06: Schacht 20” Rigid Heddle Loom - $240 US (includes shipping to US): trestle floor stand, 10 dent reed, 2 lease sticks. This loom has also only been used a few times and is like new. I wanted to try to use it for a card weaving set-up, but it will not hold the high tension I prefer for card weaving. This loom with the stand retails for $295 new from Schacht. Loom includes Texsolv heddles and tie-ups, adjustable bench, lease sticks, warp sticks, shaft holders, 4-H counterbalance conversion kit, 4 reeds (sizes 8, 10, 12 and 15) and "Tying Up the Countermarch Loom" book by Joanne Hall. Great loom for weaving production fabric, also wide projects such as blankets, tablecloths. I have retired from production weaving and no longer need this loom. 7/5/06: Harrisville Rug Loom 45 inch weaving width, 4 harness, 8 treadle This countermarche loom has a built-in bench, overhead beater, worm gear and the unique warp extender/tension equalizer designed by Peter Collingwood. It is very easy to tie up and has a canvas apron to protect the rug while weaving. In excellent condition. Included with this loom is an 8 dent stainless steel reed, 3 ski shuttles, a homemade rattle, lease sticks, a few warping sticks, the owners manual, The Techniques of Rug Weaving by Peter Collingwood and some rug wool. 6/26/06: CLEMENT, 60" Jack type 4 harness floor loom. This is a very versatile loom that can easily handle heavy assignments like rugs as well as more delicate weaving. It is made of hard rock maple, is well finished, and in good condition. There was a chipped right end on the beater which was well repaired. A completely new warp beam has been professionally made on which the original 1" sectional dividers are attached. The friction break on the warp beam works very well and is both positive and easy to use. This loom has a direct tie up treadle system which is both easy to use and versatile in that it will immediately give any tie up combination desired. I enjoy weaving on this loom and would not consider selling it except that I am tall and it is a bit too low for my height. I will dismantle, provide reference photographs, pack and ship it to you for actual materials and freight costs. I will be happy to deliver it up to 250 miles for 50 cents per mile one way. 6/22/06: Eastern Connecticut: Nilus Leclerc 60" four harness floor loom - this is a nice wide heavy- duty loom that works equally well for fine linens and rugs. It comes with a sectional warping beam (easily removed to use as traditional beam) bobbin rack (holds 40 bobbins- included) 50" reed and two smaller reeds, nice long bench with open ends, new top tray to hold all your tools - a tension box and yardage counter (yardage counter is brand new from Webs $85.) It has a brand new brake as well. Also comes with a rolling shuttle, 1" spacers and cramps to help with warping long warps. at least 1000 inserted eye heddles (may be more - that's as many as I have used). This is an older loom in good shape - it can be viewed on the Leclerc web site - any replacement parts you might need in the future are readily available from Leclerc. We will deliver in the Northeast for the cost of gas - $850.

6/1/06: We are moving and I cannot take the looms with me. I have the following looms available.
First Loom: Jack Floor Loom, 8 harness, 10 treadles, Approximate weaving width 45 inches. This loom is handmade from Colorado, probably in 1970s. It is in very good condition and I have not used it since I bought it. I was to learn to weave, but then had children and well, no time. The loom will need a few parts--new reeds and heddles, but would be a wonderful loom for anyone at a bargain price. New looms like this are well over $1500-2000. Price: $500
Second loom: Counterbalance floor loom, 4 harness, 6 treadles, Approximate weaving width 35". This loom is also handmade from Colorado, same time period. This loom is in pieces (as we moved it from Colorado) and you would need to re-assemble. All pieces are there and this loom has heddles with it. This is a large loom (floor space wise) and I understand would be wonderful for weaving heavier items, like rugs. Price: $300.
Special price--buy them together for $700--a bargain for weavers. I wanted to keep them, but would have to put them in storage as the house we are moving to is much much smaller with little storage. I won't be able to get to weaving for 5 years or more and just can't hold on to them that long. I need to find a home for them in the next 10 days. Please call for more information: 816-841-9286.
